Motorcycle Classes

Classes

All fuel must be either pump gasoline or commercially available racing gasoline.  For 2-stroke engines the addition of lubricating oil to the fuel is allowed.  Methanol (methyl alcohol) is not allowed.

If you need to change motorcycles at any time during an event you must come back to sign up and complete a change request form, if you change bikes & or #’s and do not have a change form you will not be scored and a refund will not be given

Pee Wee Beginner:  True beginner riders with minimal or no motorcycle racing experience,  front brake and knobby tires are permitted, 3 wins during any one season means you advance to Intermediate class and carry Beginner points with you.

Pee Wee Intermediate:  Next level up from Beginner, these riders should have motorcycle racing experience; front brake and knobby tires are permitted, you may compete for a series championship in this class, after a series championship is won rider will be promoted to the Pee Wee Expert class. Approved bikes are 50-65cc 2 -strokes & up to 125cc air cooled 4-strokes

Pee Wee Expert:  Next level up from Intermediate, front brake and knobby tires are permitted, these riders should have competitive motorcycle racing experience, riders are allowed up to the age of 14,  Approved bikes are 50-65cc 2 -strokes & up to 150cc air cooled 4-strokes

Pee Wee TT:  This class is open for any Pee Wee rider and their respective eligible machine that they use to race in a regular Flat Track class, if attendance continues to grow we may add another class and split by skill level.

Open TT:  This class is open to any bike, rider must be 16 or older and min wheel size is 17”. Front brakes are encouraged but not mandatory.

Youth Open:  Reserved for Pee Wee Intermediate or Pee Wee Expert riders and any other experienced motorcycle racer in the age range of 9-14yrs old. Any bike up to 125cc 2-stroke or 250cc 4-stroke air cooled, water cooled  4-strokes up to 150cc’s are allowed.

Mad Dawg Stock: This class is intended to be a fun class with very close tight racing, open to all riders, min age is 15, This is a non points class, Pro riders may ride this class but will start heats/mains on the furthest available row with no other Am/S.S./Int/Vintage riders present, MCS reserves the right to adjust starting positions based on model type & CC’s. Eligible bikes are CRF150F with no mods allowed. TTR125/KLX110/CRF100/XR100 up to 150cc’s. Flat Track style tires and 17”rims are allowed, stock CC configured TTR125/KLX110/CRF100/XR100 can run aftermarket exhaust, CRF150R’s are not eligible.

Dirt Track Divas: Ladies class; must be 16 years old to compete, 4 stroke machines & knobby tires are allowed. Maximum of 230cc air cooled 4 strokes & 125cc 2 strokes.

Open Amateur:  Min age is 14. Motorcycles of any model year and at least 125cc displacement are allowed.  The minimum rim diameter is 17”.  This class is for riders who are new to flat track racing and need to gain experience, series champion will be promoted to Intermediate, Vintage bikes are eligible for this class. Must have flat track tires

Open Intermediate:  Min age is 14. Motorcycles of any age and of at least 125cc displacement are allowed.  The minimum rim diameter is 17”.  This class is not open to current professionals. Series Champion will be promoted to Pro classes only, Vintage bikes are eligible for this class. Must have flat track tires

 Pro-Am Singles  $$:  The intent of this class is to allow the faster experienced Intermediate riders the chance to compete with the professionals.  All riders must be at least 14 years of age.  The minimum wheel size is 17”.  The minimum engine displacement is 250cc.  Since this is an “open” class, there is no upper limit on engine displacement.  Engine, frame, and suspension modifications are allowed.  Specialized flat track racing frames are allowed.  Engines may be of either 2-stroke or 4-stroke configuration. Must have flat track tires

Pro Singles $$:  All riders must be at least 16 years of age.  The minimum wheel size is 17”.  The minimum engine displacement is 250cc.  Since this is an “open” class, there is no upper limit on engine displacement.  Engine, frame, and suspension modifications are allowed.  Specialized flat track racing frames are allowed.  Engines may be of either 2-stroke or 4-stroke configuration. Must have flat track tires

Pro Twins: Any twin cylinder machine, this class will only be offered at tracks ½ mile in length and larger.

Super Senior:  Riders must be minimum age of 50 years.  The minimum engine displacement is 201cc.  Any bike is eligible. Must have flat track tires

Vintage Lite:  Motorcycles must be from 1990 or earlier, , and can be of either 2-stroke or 4-stroke configuration. Engine displacement changes are allowed.  Rims must be minimum diameter of 17”.  The maximum number of cylinders allowed is 2.  Specialized flat track racing frames are allowed. Engines must be 449cc and under, if less than 5 riders sign up this class will be merged with Vintage Open, points will be paid as Vintage Open. All riders must be at least 18 years of age.

Vintage Open:  Motorcycles must be from 1990 or earlier, and can be of either 2-stroke or 4-stroke configuration. Rotax  engines are not allowed.  Rims must be minimum diameter of 17”.  Multi-cylinder engines are allowed.  Specialized flat track racing frames are allowed. All riders must be of at least 18 years of age.
